Client Feedback: Picture Book Editing

Here is a review of my editing services from a recent client, Niall Cunniffe. He was looking to self-publish his first picture book, ‘Scott and the Runaway Sock’ and felt his work needed both copy-editing and a structural examination. Before he hired me, we discussed his goals for the project and how I could work within his budget to give his words the attention they needed.

Alice was a pleasure to work with. From her enthusiasm, experience working with children and degrees in Creative Writing and Writing for Children, I knew she would be the perfect match for my children's picture book.

Not only did she provide a thorough copyedit of the text, she also provided acute insights I had never even considered before and offered invaluable advice on how to make the picture book more marketable for the target audience.

Alice was also very understanding of my budget constraints and we worked together to reach an agreeable cost.

I would definitely consider seeking Alice's help for future copyediting projects.
